 |
Conor Galvin is a Lecturer
and Researcher at University College Dublin’s Faculty
of Human Sciences where he works on various education,
ICT and public policy programmes. His areas of interest
include schools ICT and the impact of new and emergent
technology on learning. He has acted as Assessor on a
number of EU actions relating to the Information Society
- most recently on eLearning and MINERVA - and has been
National Delegate to an OECD summit on Information Society
& Education. He holds The President’s Award for Teaching
Excellence at UCD and is currently on research leave associated
with this award. He is using the time to complete a major
research analysis of the NCTE’s Schools Integration Project
and to speak at various conferences throughout Europe
on ICT / IST and policy related issues.
Before joining UCD, Dr Galvin worked at University of
Wales Swansea and University of Cambridge, England.
